Independent Ski Test '08

Denny Kidder has probably created more championship winning skis than anyone in the sport and the D3 Nomad RC is clearly his best yet. The hallmark of a modern ski by Kidder is stability and user-friendliness. The RC achieves this by being fast without ever feeling unstable and by creating angle at the ball without ever being unpredictable.

The RC's stability from the second wake to the ball gives the skier a striking feeling of confidence. Test skiers describe this ski as being a solid platform underfoot. With ample front foot pressure, the RC initiates the turn in a smooth but rapid progression and then finishes with a tight arc. The ski's smooth aggression at the end of the turn makes it easy to maintain position and forge a path straight across the lake.

A smooth, unhurried and forward style will work best with the RC; however, this ski is quite forgiving and will accommodate a wide variety of skiing styles and levels.

"Don't let the stable feel fool you into doubting its high-end capabilities. The RC will reward those with great technique without punishing those of us who make mistakes here and there."
Stephanie Stange

"Very comfortable and stable right out of the box. I felt balanced on the ski without the need to shift weight forward or back; it just felt well-centered." — Ed Obermeier

"The Nomad RC is a very smooth, comfortable ski. The ski is easy to jump on and ride." — Dwight Woodbridge
